I located this video on youtube it was made by a student for a school and society class. I like this video because it looks at the biological roots of music in humans. It addresses how music is universally a part of our natural development. How music effects cognitive, social and emotional development. This video also mentions that our brains have specialized areas for musical functions, such as tempo, pitch, etc., and specific brain cells that relate to music as well. All of these aspects combined make a good case for why music is essential to have linked with education.
